The 50's were a cheap time to run a home.  Most can't comprehend what it's like to live in country that believes it has a duty to serve.  In those days, there was no greater service to citizens than a federal, state and muncipal authority thought utilities were a "god given" necessity, paid for by tax dollars.   In the l960's General Motors..bought out and destroyed the Municipal Railways so Standard Oil could sell more gas. Today, NBC/GE/Universal/Vivendi Water controls most muncipal water sources in the world. (Atlanta are you listening?)

Actually, Unversal/Vivendi isn't really an "entertainment" industry...it's a Water Giant, buying up municipal water authorities all over the planet...like they were water.  It's called "Vivendi Water".  It's the largest in the world.

In the old days, virtually all the water needs of America were secured through just a few dozen municipal water authorities...at a time before World War 2 when 90% of the population was drinking "well water" on farms.

At that point in time, water wasn't worth it's weight in air and so Rockefeller and General Electric nor NBC had any interest in cornering the market.  But, times have changed.  Atlanta's finding out just how scarce water can be in these draught times.  Of course, as we all now, it's the American consumer that's causing Global Warming by driving those nasty boy-cars.  It wouldn't have anything to do with industry.

After World War 2 the population in the cities exploded and the State and Municipal authorities  secured water from Rivers and then created a whole new industry to clean and filter it.  The Army Corps of Engineers was actually run and managed by Americans and actively re-engineered the entire flood plains East of the Mississippi to provide water to everyone.

Regrettably, at the same time the citizens worked desperately for clean water, Rockefeller's "Fortunate 100" Companies were destroying the rivers with the most toxic materials known to mankind.  Today, there's more "rocket fuel" and pesticides, arsenic, lead, tin in our water than "calcium".

The cities eventually just gave up and turned to the Federal System..they actually turned to Richard Nixon to pass the "Environmental Protection" laws and the EPA.  It was too little too late. Since "smaller government" had failed to protect the waters..."big corps" would step and "profitize" the rivers, then "commoditize" water.

Eventually, over the next 30 years or so..as the "tax base declined" due to "idiots" that insisted on "smaller government-less clean water"..our water plants were "privatized" to bigger and bigger business.

In the 70's our Gas, Light & Power were "privatized" thanks to Reagan...so Rockefeller's Standard Oil could sell us more oil and nuke reactors.  Today, giant corporations like NBC which owns Universal Studios, which in turn is a Subsidiary of the world's largest water company, Vivendi Water.

In the l990's, "something foreign" or "global interests" seized control of the US Army Corps of Engineers.  Throughout the whole period, not one single Senate could overcome the power of the "Water Lobby" that preferred we "not" revamp our water systems.

As a result, the US  Senate is now allowing it's citizens to suffer with out clean or adequate water.  Not  ONE! US Senator tried to stop the Water Lobby.  They were too busy flying to Hollywood, to watch the Screening of the Latest Universal Film.

I do know that Halliburton has taken over the US ARmy Corps of Engineers and would NEVER do anything that would make "water" more plentiful or cheaper.  Rockefeller who owns, GE/NBC/Universal/Vivendi doesn't want cheap water!

And, just like its says in the D. C. Bible..."Whatever Thou Senator Rockefeller Wanteth...Every Senator Shall Wanteth Also.  Thus Spake His Father"!  (zorro is actually related to Rockefeller's grand-father!) I got out of the gene pool before it turned alkali!)

Vivendi Water is just finishing "acquiring" the last municipal water company in the US.  NBC is owned by Rockefeller, guess where the price of water is headed? Just like oil...if we don't wake up.

If you want to see what happens when Rockefeller/Vivendi gets in control of your water company..check out this "Friends of the Earth" website.  http://www.foe.org/WSSD/vivendi.html

It appears that Vivendi/GE/NBC/Universal is bringing their "3rd world water management techniques to the US.  It's no accident that poor management drives up the price of the commodity.  "Waste Water...Want Not For Money".  That's what "Benjamin Franklin" said. No, not the inventor (?) of the Post Office...the Ben Franklin on the US Money Supply.

"The Puerto Rico Aqueducts and Sewers Authority (PRASA) water supply and sanitation services were privatized to Vivendi's CompaZia de Agua in 1995. The leakage rate is about 50%

Since then, PRASA has been the subject of two highly critical reports by the Puerto Rico Office of the Comptroller, who said in a press conference that water privatization "has been a bad deal for the people of Puerto Rico."

The most recent report found 3,181 deficiencies in management, operation and maintenance of the infrastructure and said the leakage rate was around 50%. Since privatization, PRASA has reportedly been fined a total of $6.2 million (£4.3 m) for various violations of environmental laws (10)

Whole communities on the island have had no water supply for weeks and even months at a time. MAPT, a local coalition of waterless communities has documented the effect of the water crisis on the local population, including cases of skin allergies, irritability, anxiety, gastroenteritis, conjunctivitis, muscular spasms, depression and anxiety (11)

This is what we have to look forward to unless we begin to do the research necessary to inform our electorate that our lives are on the line..not just our livelihood.  "Outsourcing Municipal Water" service is a really bad idea.

There's a scene in Lawrence of Arabia (the Movie, not the rug doctor) where the Arab's come shreiking in on Arabian Horse Back, firing their weapons in the air to celebrate a victory over the Turks or the British.  Looking like a massive rabble direct from the crusades, they ride their fiery steeds up to the steps of a Municipal Building the British had built.

The next scene, after the cutaway, shows Anthony Quinn on his horse, racing inside the corridor of the great "facility".  Lawrence is already there.  The first thing the Arabs did, when they conquererd a city was to seize the waterworks for themselves or "poison" the wells.

It's been a standard Strategy of War, since Nebuchadnezzar laid seige to Jerusalem...control the water supply.  It's certain victory.  We are no longer being led from the front..! ..Smaller government just leaves us more and more vulnerable to being led by our balls...to the slaughter.  It's ok for certain things..but not for fundamental services.

Don't let the  conservatives mislead you!

i'm zorro thirsty!

LET THEM DRINK VITTEL!
