if you remember history, the us was originally "sucked" into vietnam to fulfill it's treaty obligation with the French Govt via SEATO or "South East Asia Treaty Organizatioin". Rather than to risk their own sons and daughters to kill "Vietnamese" and "harvest the heroine"...the French hired Hitler's complete "Waffen-SS" (Skull & Crossbones) battalion to kill South Vietnamese Children to force the common folk from questioning why the French were actually harvesting the "Bush-Russell" family Poppy Plantations throughout Asia. When the "SS" got the "snot" kicked out of them at "Dien Ben Phu"...Ho Chi Minh threatened to reveal the truth to turn international opinion against them. Instead, the US came in to finish the harvest..just like the US is doing in Afghanistan. The harvest lasted 11 years.
