Some scholars say instinct is all, the rest is a mixture of "meme" and "chemical". The "meme" part comes from without, the external and the media-based viral data, the "chemical" man is the internal man. Someone asked what Alchemy is...it's where inner and outer man meet...it's the adjuncture between "meme" and "emotion". Alchemy is an endeavor to recreate the meme, chemically. The external man is the part of mankind that's willing to believe what he hears, sees and senses. So what's the difference between "Free Will and Destiny" is ALL is "meme" or "instinct"?
As I watched the temporary clouds gently ride before the permanent stars....I willed the stars to fall from the skies. No matter how much power I think I have, I must conform myself to the two primary laws of "time" and "space". In other words, we are all restricted by the "here" and by "the now", but by the variable of "time" we are caught within our mortal coils. (Shakespeare, the one who makes fishing gear, I think)
Actually it all seemed clear to me tonight. No matter how much I wish for a star to fall from the sky tonight, my wish cannot be answered in the present tense...because the "star" would have had to fall millions and billions of years ago to be detected by me tonight. Ergo, unless I wished billions of years ago...no matter how powerful one wishes to be...they can't make a star fall from the sky "today".
On the other hand, how do we know we aren't all powerful over our own "meme-state"? How do we know that the very exact star we wished to fall tonight, will actually fall....and actually falls..immediately, but we would have to live another billion years to sense it.
OK, so I'm guilty of overthink but on the otherhand, no matter how powerful I am I can't make a star fall a billion years ago. But, what if I am fated to "see" a star fall, the precise instant I demand that it fall? Is that power? Not at all..is it destiny. Is it dumb luck! WHo can say but the difference between "power and luck" is but a meme, within itself!
So, if we turn to the stars to find our "power"...do we see what our fortune was, a billion years before? IS that why we have turned to the planets?
