Decades ago, when one had a book out or was known for being an integral part of the paranormal community, 'they' meaning college campuses and some hotels hosted for these speakers. There were no bells and whistles such as musical bands (although perhaps some could have used them back then), there were no film or TV show screenings, there were no tattoo stations set-up or even medium readings.
